Synopsis

It doesn’t take a genius to know there is suffering in the world. But it takes much more than human genius to explain why that is the case.

In Philippians 1:29, Apostle Paul makes, what some might call, a rather startling statement…

“For unto you it is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe on him, but also to suffer for his sake.”

Is this the answer to our question? Is there suffering in the world, and especially among the people of God, because God grants it?

Paul mean to say that strife, wars, turmoil, hardships, Does Paul persecutions, poverty, bodily afflictions and death are given by God who is good and love?

For the July Truth for Life Seminar we attempt to answer these difficult questions from God’s infallible word which is sufficient for all matters of faith and practice.
